Each Family member in Texas Chain Saw Massacre has their own ability and strengths, allowing them to take down survivors effectively. No one team member is able to hold their weight on their own, meaning that it's best to learn how to play all of the Family members, including The Cook, one of Texas Chain Saw Massacre's most iconic characters.

Here's how to play The Cook in Gun Media's Texas Chain Saw Massacre and use his enhanced hearing to your benefit, winning more matches and earning more experience.

The Cook's Ability In Texas Chain Saw Massacre

The Cook's ability is called Seek. This Ability allows him to hear any sounds that might arise around the map. If he hears a sound, he can focus in on it, letting him know the location of any survivor that is making the most noise at any given time. His ability has a brief cooldown, like other Family members.

How To Play The Cook In Texas Chain Saw Massacre

As we mentioned, the Cook's specialty is detecting survivors' locations around the map using his enhanced hearing. When playing this Family member, you'll have to use this to your advantage at all times. Here's how we suggest you do that.

Communicate With Your Team

Because The Cook's strength is locating survivors, you'll want to communicate frequently with your teammates throughout a match. If you find a survivor, you'll want to immediately offer a callout to the other Family members so you can team up to take them down. You'll need your microphone to do this, so don't be afraid to get out there and tell your teammates what's going on.

Feed Grandpa

The Cook is the best character to use if you're feeding Grandpa; he gets more blood out of the buckets on the map than any other Family member, so you'll want to use that to your advantage and feed Grandpa when you can.

If you get caught up in chases, don't sacrifice killing a survivor just to feed Grandpa - but you'll definitely want to make time to do so throughout the match if at all possible since it's your strength. Just one blood run with The Cook might be enough to get Grandpa to level one.

Use Padlocks Wisely

As The Cook, you have some padlocks you can use to prevent survivors from entering or exiting certain areas. You should take care to use these items wisely since you have a limited number of them. If you manage to use them at the right times, you can lock survivors into areas that will allow teammates to go in for the kill - or you can even use them on the exits, preventing survivors from easily escaping.

Those are all of the best tips and tricks for playing The Cook in Texas Chain Saw Massacre. By using these strategies, you can work with your team to kill as many survivors as possible and feed Grandpa throughout the match.
