Noivas Wright, whose real name is Savion Jabriel Wright, is a singer and songwriter from Hutto, Texas. He was born on March 12, 1992, in Galveston, Texas, to his parents Rosalind Wright (mother) and Douglas Wright, Sr. (father). NOIVAS’s father, Douglas Wright, Sr., was raised in Jim Crow Mississippi (Hickory, MS) and was the first black boy to attend an all-white school in 1965. He endured legalized violence and bullying but made it out alive. Noivas has four siblings, including sisters Kassilia J. Wright and Annilia Wright Mosley and a brother named Douglas Wright II. He had a brother named Alfred Wright who passed away in 2013.

Noivas attended Baylor University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts in 2015. In 2020, he pursued his Master’s degree in Management Information Systems at Lamar University.

Noivas is widely known for his appearance as a contestant in The Voice season 23 on NBC. Before that, he was a two-time contestant on FOX’s American Idol, in which he placed Top 48 in 2014 and Top 24 in 2015. In 2015, he released an EP titled “Breathing Underwater” in honor of his brother Alfred Wright. The EP peaked at #40 on iTunes’ Top 100 chart.
